the love standard

The
Love Standard

One standard, and every business on LE meets it. This page explains what it is, what it checks, and why it exists.

what it is —

One check, held for everyone

The Love Standard is the check every business passes before it sells anything on LE — and keeps passing for as long as it's here. It is one consistent, mechanical standard, applied to everyone equally. No favorites, no exceptions, no one above it or below it.

Its whole job is one sentence: exploitation never happens here — or to anyone or anything connected to LE.

what it checks —

Both doors, every day

It checks at the front door: when a business applies, the Love Standard reads what they offer and how it's made or delivered, through honest and open disclosure. No business here carries a documented record of forced labor, animal cruelty, or environmental destruction.

And it keeps watch after: it re-reads the places LE links out to, every day, so nothing slips in later. It looks for the fear-machine's mechanisms — fake countdowns, false scarcity, pressure built to push you into buying — and it makes sure the road from LE to a business stays as clean as the day it opened.

The same standard covers what businesses sell inside LE: every tagged product or offering passes through it before anyone can tap out to buy it.

what it is not —

A wall, not a cop

The Love Standard doesn't police people, and nothing "fails" it. When it finds something, it names the exact thing and hands back a clear path: fix it or remove it, re-scan, and everything returns. No mark stays behind.

And it never touches anything outside LE. A business's own site, store, and work are theirs — the Love Standard only decides what LE links out to. It is a wall of protection LE holds for everyone here: for the person buying, who never has to wonder about the store they're standing in, and for the person selling, who gets to stand inside the one room where being here means something.

That's the whole job: one standard, so no one here is ever taken from. That's what love looks like when it holds a boundary.
